Anniversary Lunch - March 2022

The Old Felicians’ Club are holding a special lunch at the Wentworth Hotel, Aldeburgh, on Saturday 12 March 2022 to mark the 125th anniversary of the founding of Saint Felix School and the Old Felicians’ Club.  In 1897 the first boarders, Annie Simpson, Beatrice Crompton, Constance Greet and Christine Matthews arrived at Westhill, a house belonging to Dr. Garrett Anderson and were joined by three day girls and taught by four mistresses, Miss Gardiner, Miss Robinson, Miss Simpson and Mlle. Fourquier.  By the summer of 1898 they all moved to Southwold and lived in houses in the town until the building of Saint Felix commenced in 1902.

The Wentworth has been run by the same family since 1920 and many Old Felicians will be familiar with the hotel and it has been a favourite rendezvous for many gatherings over the years.   The cost of lunch is £45 including wine.

As this will be a special anniversary year for the OFs, please contact Caroline MacMillan by email southwold7@tiscali.co.uk or telephone 0208 749 3010 or 079797 51772 to book your place.
